About Manila

The problem

Collecting files and answers from a client almost always turns into the same thing: an email thread that grows past the point anyone can track it. Someone attaches the wrong file, someone else forgets to reply, and three weeks later you’re scrolling back through the whole conversation trying to work out what’s actually still missing.

Manila exists to replace that thread with one link. You list what you need — files, short answers, a yes or no, whatever the job requires — and send it. Your client opens the link, no account required, and fills in what they can. You watch it complete itself.

Who’s building it

Manila is being built by one developer who kept losing time to exactly this problem across freelance and client work, and decided it was worth solving properly rather than living with it. There’s no team, no funding round, no origin story beyond that — just a product being built in the open, one feature at a time.

Where it stands today

Manila is early. The core loop — build a request, send a link, watch it fill in — works end to end, and the plans on the pricing page reflect where this is headed. The rest of the roadmap is still being built out. If something’s missing or broken, get in touch — it’s read.
